First Aid

BECAUSE EVERY LIFE MATTERS

First aid training is essential for anyone responsible for the safety and wellbeing of others. Whether at home, in the workplace or in the community, these skills give people the confidence to stay calm and respond quickly when an emergency occurs.

First aid training

This introductory course teaches the essential life-saving skills needed to respond to common medical emergencies and workplace injuries. Learners are trained to recognise danger, act safely and provide immediate assistance until professional medical help arrives.

Topics include scene safety, patient assessment, CPR and choking, bleeding control, shock management, burns, fractures, and basic care for sudden illness.

The course is suitable for beginners and for anyone requiring first aid certification for the workplace, home or community. It focuses on practical, hands-on learning so participants leave feeling confident and prepared to act in real-life situations.

This course builds on First Aid Level 1 and prepares learners to manage more serious injuries and medical emergencies with greater confidence and responsibility. Participants learn to assess a patient more thoroughly, prioritise care and provide ongoing assistance while waiting for emergency services.

Topics include more detailed patient assessment, management of fractures and head injuries, severe bleeding, burns, medical conditions such as seizures, asthma and diabetic emergencies, as well as assisting and coordinating care in workplace incidents.

The course is ideal for designated workplace first aiders, supervisors, caregivers and anyone working in environments where a higher level of preparedness is required. Training remains practical and hands-on, helping learners stay calm, make decisions and provide effective care in real-life situations.

This comprehensive course prepares learners to take full responsibility as a workplace first aider and to manage serious medical emergencies until professional medical services arrive. Participants develop advanced assessment skills, coordinated response and the ability to lead others during an incident.

Topics include detailed patient assessment, effective CPR management, control of severe bleeding, management of shock, head and spinal injuries, fractures, burns, unconscious patients and major medical emergencies such as seizures, diabetic complications and breathing difficulties.

The course is suitable for supervisors, safety officers, designated workplace first aiders, coaches and individuals working in higher-risk environments. Training is practical and scenario-based, enabling learners to remain calm, make decisions and provide organised, life-saving care in real emergency situations.
